Bead Projects
Paper Bead Looping Necklace What you’ll need: · An assortment of paper beads (.75 ounces of beads should do) What to do: 1. Start by tying one end of your thread about the toothpick, so that when you begin stringing beads, the beads will not slide off the thread. 2. String beads in a random pattern. When all beads have been strung, cut the end of the thread that is tied to the toothpick, then tie both ends together. 3. Loop strand of beads around your neck. Two yards of beads should make two loops, while three yards of beads should make three loops.
Fancy Spiral-Bead Pendant What you’ll need: · Four large clay beads with spiral designs What to do: 1. Thread the pendant onto the cord first. Center it in the middle of the cord. 2. Tie a knot on each side of the pendant, about 3 inches away from the pendent on the cord. 3. Thread a bead onto each side of the pendant, right up to the knots you’ve tied. Tie knots right above those beads, so that the beads are held in place on the cord. 4. Tie two more knots, each about 2 inches from the last knots you tied. Thread last two beads onto cord and tie knots to hold those in place. 5. Tie the ends of the cord together. You can purchase four beads and a pendant with spiral designs here at Beads By Kelly for only 3.99. Available in four colors: Pale pink, pale blue, black, white.
